'Leaving things to Mother Nature Château Masburel'

At Château Masburel farming grapes is undertaken with a unique philosophy - that is to leave nature alone to do its work. The vines are deliberately left to grown in whichever way they choose giving them a rather unkept appearance. Preventative treatments are only used in the vines when it is a necessity. If needed, the vines are given only a weak dose and it is only the vine concerned plus the ones either side. The result of this is that Château Masburel has its very own eco-system. The vineyard is home to pheasants, deer, hares, badgers, partridge, bats, butterflies and frogs.
